Concept & Modernization

The pyramid was designed to create a grand entrance to the Louvre Museum, combining classical architecture with modern engineering.

Glass & Steel Framework

A total of 673 glass panels were arranged to ensure maximum transparency while maintaining strength. The steel framework provides structural support.

Subterranean Lobby Expansion

The underground lobby was excavated beneath the courtyard, expanding the museum’s space while maintaining the historic integrity of the site.

Integration with Historic Surroundings

Despite initial controversy, the structure became an architectural landmark, successfully blending modern design with Parisian heritage.
